T.A.G.B.

Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain

By 1983 political differences between the International Tae Kwon Do Federation (I.T.F.) and the World Tae Kwon Do Federation (W.T.F.) threatened the survival of Tae Kwon Do.

The T.A.G.B. was formed to develop Tae Kwon Do in the United Kingdom, in a democratic manner. The T.A.G.B. was founded on 21st August 1983.

The T.A.G.B. aim to develop Tae Kwon Do into a martial art for the 21st century. By maintaining the basic 2000 year old tenets of Tae Kwon Do and constantly developing patterns, training techniques and ideas.

The T.A.G.B. organise regular regional, national, and international competitions. They hold Seminars, Instructor, Referee and Umpire training courses, to help maintain the high standards that they are known for.
